User Experience Distilled, User Modeling, & Paper Prototyping at SD's Best Practices 2007
9/18/2007 – 9/21/2007
Boston, MA, USA
I'll be presenting User Experience Distilled, a short talk giving those unfamiliar with user experience work a simple model to understand the responsibilities and activities of Ux people. And since most software has user experience, even if there aren't Ux specialists on your team, I'll give basic ideas on what you can do on your project to improve user experience.
I'll also teach paper prototyping an lightweight usability testing in Use to User Interface.
Finally, I've added a new tutorial on user modeling. In it I'll discuss actors, user roles, user profiles and personas, what the differences are between these popular user modeling approaches, and where each is strongest. You'll get a little practice by building simple user models.
